Desire.

Sometimes I say I want to die early,

or that I can see it happening.

Normal people think it’s weird.

I’m weird.

It’s fine.

My life has never been painted with the defining etches of regret.

Some call it regret, I

call it contemplation—because I gather all of my experiences

and derive  its meaning,

its importance,

its purpose.

Every step I’ve sunk into the earth’s soils has been deliberately placed there, intentionally or through a universal force.

I just think we’ve been taught to fear death, to view it as an unearthly happening,

but the fact is—

death is as beautifully wicked as life.
